State of the University Address 2006
NUS President Professor Shih Choon Fong delivered his 2006 State of the University Address (SoUA) at 11.00 am on Friday, 20 October.
The SoUA is an annual event when Prof Shih shares with the NUS community his vision and strategic directions for NUS moving forward as a leading research-intensive university.
SoUA 2006 was especially significant as it incorporated the investiture of our inaugural Centennial Professors. The NUS Centennial Professorships were established to recognize top scholars who are world-renowned experts in their field and able to take a leadership role in NUS' quest to build peaks of global excellence. Six eminent professors of global standing were honored at SoUA 2006.
