State of the University Address 2005
NUS President Professor Shih Choon Fong delivered his annual State of the University Address on Friday, 11 November 2005 at the University Cultural Centre (UCC) Theatre.
The State of the University Address is an annual event where Professor Shih shares with the NUS community his strategic initiatives and directions towards realising the NUS vision of becoming a leading global university.
In his address this year, Professor Shih announced a new and exciting initiative which will further enhance the learning and living environment on campus. This initiative involves the development of residential colleges at the former Warren Golf Course (popularly referred to as "Warren") near NUS. An exhibition on the residential colleges will be on display at the UCC foyer from 11 to 15 November. It will then be on display at the Office of Alumni Relations from 16 November to mid-December and thereafter at the University Hall from mid-December 2005 to mid-January 2006. A series of roadshows to the various faculties will follow soon after.
