The
Medical Education Unit (MEU) is a core unit in the National
University Health System, with the mission
to promote Scholarship and Excellence in Medical
Education.
The MEU aims
to provide two core functions namely:
Academic Function
- • Initiate,
organise, design and conduct faculty development programmes in medical
pedagogy.
- • Undertake and enhance scholarship
and research in medical education.
- • Establish the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and
National
University
Hospital as a centre of
excellence for medical education in the region and beyond with enhanced
capability in providing quality training courses in various aspects of medical
education.
Service Function
- • Provide
educational leadership and expertise in the development of educational policies
and procedures based on best evidence in medical education.
- • Provide expertise in and support for student assessment and curriculum evaluation.
- • Contribute to the development of instructional materials to support teaching and learning.
