Special Term

From AY 2007/2008, you can join us as as a Non-Graduating (Exchange or Non-Exchange) student during our special term.

The Special Term comprises two parts, each of which lasts six weeks:

Part 1 – May to June 2009
Part 2 – June to August 2009

Dates of Special Term

The dates for the two 6-week parts of the Special Term are as follows:

Module Selection & Enrolment

A non-graduating student is allowed to register for a maximum of two modules in each part of the Special Term. The list of modules available in each Special Term is published in good time for Modules Registration.

For more details on the class timetable (lecture, tutorial and laboratories if any), please check with the respective Faculties/Schools who offer the module.

^#Fees payable are applicable for Non-Exchange Students only.

Application Procedures

1.	Exchange students must obtain formal approval from your home university (student exchange co-ordinator) to attend NUS. Exchange applications will only be accepted on the basis of official nominations from a partner university.

2.	Please read the general instructions before proceeding to apply online.

3.	Print out a copy of your completed online application form and submit it along with the required supporting documents (click here for the checklist) well in advance of our application deadlines below:

An email acknowledgement will be sent to you upon receipt of your application and supporting documents.

Note:

All applications must be submitted through the online application system. Late applications and incomplete applications (including those submitted online but with no supporting documents ) will not be processed.

Fees

If you are an Exchange student, you will have your tuition fee waived, but you must pay for the Student Activity & Services fee and the NUS Group Medical Insurance Scheme (GMIS).

If you are a Non-Exchange student, you are required to pay tuition fees as well as the Mandatory Miscellaneous Fees as follows:

Notes:

All fees shown here are inclusive of prevailing GST and may be subject to revision from time to time.
Audited modules are charged as per table above.
If student extends period of study to Semester 1 of the following academic year, Mandatory Miscellaneous Fees (except for Registration Fee) and Tuition Fee (if applicable) for Semester 1 shall be payable.

Application Outcome

With the above application schedule, you will be notified of the outcome in the 3rd week of April.
