Yahya Cohen Gold Medal
Donated in 1992 by the World Orthopaedic Concern and friends of Yahya Cohen, the gold medal is awarded from the proceeds of a capital sum of $15,000 to the candidate with the highest marks in the clinical section of the Final Examination leading to the degree of Master of Medicine (Surgery).
- The award will be made by the Board of Graduate Studies on the recommendation of the relevant Board of Examiners.
- No award will be made unless there is a candidate of sufficient merit.
- If no award is made in any year, the funds available will be added to the capital sum.

Yeoh Khuan Joo Gold Medal
A sum of $4,000 was donated in 1957 by the Ban Chuan Hin Estate to provide for the annual award of the Yeoh Khuan Joo Gold Medal in Surgery.
- The medal is awarded by the Board of Undergraduate Studies on the recommendation of the Board of Examiners for the Final Examination for the degrees of M.B.,B.S. to the candidate who, in the Board's opinion, is the best candidate in the examination in Surgery.
- To qualify for the award, the candidate must attain a high standard not only in the written section of the examination, but also in the clinical and viva voce section. The Board of Examiners may decline to recommend an award in any year if it considers that the standard reached does not merit the award of the medal.

You Poh Seng Prize in Econometrics
Endowed in 2001 by two colleagues of Emeritus Professor You Poh Seng, a prize is awarded from the proceeds of a capital sum of $15,000. The university award is governed by the following conditions:
- Subject to rule 3 below, a prize will be awarded to the best Economics student who has obtained at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in the Examination for the Bachelor of Social Sciences with Honours and has also obtained top scores in the Econometrics modules at levels 3000 and 4000; and
- The prize will be awarded by the Head of Department of Economics.
- No prize will be made unless there is a candidate of sufficient merit.
- The prize, valued at $250, will be given in the form of vouchers to purchase books or software.
- If no prize is made in any year, the funds available will be added to the capital sum.
