Discipline

Discipline with respect to students is governed by the University’s Statutes and Regulations.  Serious offences are referred to the Board of Discipline which is chaired by the Dean of Students and comprises two other members of the Senate.  Appeals against the decisions of this Board are heard by the Disciplinary Appeals Board.  Less serious offences are dealt with by the Heads or Deputy Heads of academic and administrative Departments.  Appeals, in such cases, can be brought before the Dean of the corresponding Faculty/School or the Dean of Students if the disciplinary action was initiated by the Head of an administrative Department.
