The primary concern of the Office of the Provost is academic programmes and academic personnel matters pertaining to recruitment, promotion and tenure. Together with faculties and schools, the Office formulates and implements academic policies that are intended to promote scholarship and ensure quality education in the University.

The Office also develops the University's annual budget and long-term financial plans, as well as coordinates administrative services to support the University's academic activities.
