USP Requirements
University Scholars Program (USP) students must satisfy the same USP requirements
as needed for a single-degree program, i.e. 8 First-Tier Modules (32 MCs; including
the compulsory Writing and Critical Thinking Module) and 4 Advanced Modules (16
MCs). In particular, USP students satisfy University-level Requirements using
3 USP modules (12 MCs).
The Advanced Modules can be drawn from either the FASS program or the Business
program, or a combination of both.
A USP Writing and Critical Thinking Module can be taken in place of the BBA
Foundation Module ES2002 Business Communication. Students who want to map other
USP modules to the double degree program should seek the approval of the FASS
and BIZ.
Candidature & Leave
The maximum period of candidature will be six years. The two degree programs
must be undertaken and completed within a single continuous candidature period
(save for the usual provisions for leave of absence). At least half of the MCs
in the double degree program must be from NUS modules.
