NUS Annual Safety & Health
Performance Award 2010
The NUS Annual Safety & Health Performance Award (ASHPA) is an annual award presented by Office of Safety, Health & Environment (OSHE), to give recognition to Departments that have performed well in safety and health through the implementation of safety and health management system.
The ASHPA is open to NUS departments that manage workplaces listed under the “Workplace Safety and Health Act” i.e. Departments that operate Laboratories, Halls of Residences, Workshops, Clinics, etc
We would like to encourage departments to refer to international safety and health management systems standards to strengthen and “value add” their departmental Safety Management System (SMS). In particular Departments should refer to OHSAS 18001:2007 standard as the key reference for the development and implementation of the SMS.
