Tertiary Student EZlink Card
The Tertiary Student ez-link Cards are issued by TransitLink on behalf of ez-link Pte Ltd. Holders of these cards are able to purchase concession passes so as to enjoy concessionary travel on the following public transportation:

Eligibility
Only full-time matriculated undergraduates who are neither sponsored nor receiving an allowance from an organization are eligible for the Tertiary Student ez-link Card.
All part-time undergraduates, postgraduates, non-graduating (exchange & non-exchange) students irrespective of the courses they are in, are ineligible for the concession card.

Application for Tertiary Student Ez-link Card for Freshmen (Academic Year 2012/2013)
Application for the Tertiary Student ez-link Card may be made at any TransitLink Ticket Office from 9 July to 31 August 2012. Students are advised to check their eligibility for application at the TransitLink website: www.transitlink.com.sg before proceeding to the Ticket Office.
The following documents are required at the time of application:-
- Original NRIC/Passport for Singapore Citizen; or
- Original NRIC/RE-entry Permit for Singapore Permanent Resident; or
- Original Passport and Foreign Student Pass (FIN) for foreign student
A payment of 8/- (non-refundable) for the cost of the card and personalisation fee is payable at the point of application.
Collection of Tertiary Student ezlink Card
Students who apply during the above mentioned period will have their cards delivered to NUS. Please click here for the details on the collection venue and dates.
Activation of Tertiary Student ez-link Card
After collecting the ez-link card, students can proceed to any TransitLink Ticket Office to activate the card for use.

Application for Tertiary Student Ez-link Card for Current Students
Students are able to apply for their Tertiary Student ez-link Card at one of the TransitLink Card Replacement Offices listed below. The Card will be ready for collection on the same day of application from the TransitLink Card Replacement Office.

It is advisable to contact the Student Service Centre at 6516-1177 or the TransitLink Hotline at 1800-CALL ONE (1800-2255 663) to check your eligibility status before proceeding to the Card Replacement Offices.

A total fee of $8 will apply at the point of application. The $8 application fee comprises of the following payments:

Application for Tertiary Student Ez-link Card for RNS Men Enrolled in Special Term
You may apply for the Tertiary Student ez-link Card which allows you to enjoy concessionary travel on buses (SBS Transit & SMRT Bus Services) and/or trains [Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) & Light Rail Transit (LRT)].
Application can be made at one of the following TransitLink Card Replacement Offices from Thursday, 2 May 2013 onwards. You are able to able to collect your card at the point of application.

Please bring along your NRIC, a recent passport-size colour photograph and payment of $18 when applying at the above office.
Concession Pass
You will have a choice of the following concession passes to be encoded into the card:
- Buses (SBS Transit & SMRT Bus Services): Bus Concession Pass (BCP) of $52 per month for unlimited rides on both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses.
- Trains (MRT & LRT): Train Concession Pass (TCP) of $45 per month for travel on MRT/LRT, valid up to four rides a day.
- Buses and Trains: Hybrid Concession Pass (HCP) of $97 per month which allows unlimited concession travel on buses and up to four rides a day on MRT/LRT.
If you do not wish to purchase any of the above concession passes, you may still apply for the Tertiary Student ez-link Card and top-up with a minimum travel value of $10 for use on buses and trains. Please note that normal adult fares will apply if the Card is not encoded with any of the above concession passes.
Concession Schemes
You have the option of purchasing either a Bus Concession Pas (BCP), a Train Concession Pass (TCP) or a Hybrid Concession Pass (HCP) to be encoded into the Tertiary Student ez-link Card. The concession pass can be purchased from any Add Value Machine (AVM) or TransitLink Ticket Office to enjoy concessionary travel.
The Tertiary Student ez-link Card can also be topped-up with a minimum travel value of $10 for use on buses and trains should you decide not to purchase a concession pass. Normal adult fares will be deducted.

| *Please note that only one of the three concession passes (BCP/TCP/HCP) can be encoded into the Tertiary Student ez-link Card at any one time. If you have purchased a BCP or a TCP, you have to wait till 7 days before the expiry of the existing concession pass before a HCP can be purchased. |
Adult fares will be deducted from the Tertiary Student ez-link Card if it is:
- Not encoded with a BCP/HCP when used on buses
- Encoded with a BCP/HCP but used on Express, Night, Sentosa and CSS services
- Not encoded with a TCP/HCP when used on the MRT and LRT
- Encoded with an TCP/HCP but used for the fifth MRT/LRT ride onwards
Add Value Machine (AVM)
The Add Value Machine (AVM) provides the following services for the public:
- Revaluation of ez-link Cards
- Purchase of monthly concession passes
- Checking recent past 20 travel transactions
- Extension of concession cards
To top-up travel value or purchase of monthly concession pass, no cash is needed. The amount will be deducted from your bank account via NETS-enabled ATM cards.

The Add Value Machines (AVMs) are also situated at MRT stations, bus interchanges and selected bus stops. The AVMs operate from 12.05am to 11.45pm daily.

To add value to the ez-link Card:

Place your Tertiary Student ez-link Card on the card reader. |

Place your Tertiary Student ez-link Card on the card reader. The card will automatically be extended. The new expiry date for the concession card will be displayed. |

Lost & Replacement of Card
Report Loss of Tertiary Student ez-link Card
To report loss of card, you can contact TransitLink hotline at 1800-CALL ONE (1800-2255 663) and provide the following particulars:
- NRIC number/Passport number/FIN number
- Contact number
The lost card will be invalidated within 48 hours from the time of the report filed. The hotline staff will issue a refund number and the remaining deposit and store value (determined after the invalidation has been effected) can be collected from any Ticket Office 7 days after the date of lost report.
The loss report is irreversible once it is lodged in the TransitLink's system. Hence, you are advised to search thoroughly for the card before making the report.
Replacement of Lost Tertiary Student ez-link Card
There are two options available for replacement of lost Tertiary Student ez-link Card.
Replacement Fee for a Tertiary Student ez-link Card
The following fees will apply for each replacement of a lost Tertiary Student ez-link card.

What documents should I bring when applying for a replacement?
- Original NRIC/Passport for Singapore Citizens, or
- Original NRIC/Re-entry Permit for Singapore Permanent Residents, or
- Original Passport and Foreign Student Identification Pass for foreign students, and
- One recent passport-size color photograph.
Application by a proxy is allowed, but the proxy must produce his/her own original Identity Card/Passport in addition to the above-mentioned items of the student.
Replacement of Technically Faulty Card
For technically faulty Tertiary Student ez-link Card, you may approach any TransitLink Ticket Office to obtain a Temporary Card. You must present your technically faulty card to the officer before a Temporary Card can be issued.
The Temporary Card is encoded with $3.00 in travel value which assist you to make a trip to the TransitLink Card Replacement Office for an immediate replacement. The Temporary Card is valid for only 10 days.
No replacement fee will be charged for replacement of a Technically Faulty ez-link Card however, a fee of $10 will be charged for any TransitLink Temporary Card not returned to TransitLink at the time of replacement of the technically faulty card.
You may visit any TransitLink Card Replacement Offices for replacement of technically faulty Tertiary Student ez-link Card.
What documents should I bring along when applying for a Replacement?
- Original NRIC/Passport for Singapore Citizens, or
- Original NRIC/Re-entry Permit for Singapore Permanent Residents, or
- Original Passport and Foreign Student Identification Pass for foreign students, and
- One recent passport-size color photograph
- The Technically Faulty Tertiary Student ez-link Card and the TransitLink Temporary Card (if applicable).
Application by a proxy is allowed, but the proxy must produce his/her own original Identity Card/Passport in addition to the above-mentioned items of the student.
Extension of Concession Eligibility
The expiry date of your concessionary eligibility period can be determined at any TransitLink Ticket Office, Add Value Machine (AVM) or General Ticketing Machine (GTM).
In circumstances of extending your course of study, you may apply for an extension of concessionary eligibility period for your Tertiary Student ez-link Card. Please send an extension request to www.askstudentservice.nus.edu.sg at least 10 working days before the expiry date of your existing concessionary eligibility period with the following details:
- Name as stated on your Tertiary Student ez-link Card
- NRIC Number/FIN Number/Passport Number as reflected on your ez-link Card
- Expiry Date of current concessionary eligibility period (DD/MM/YY)
- Expected date (DD/MM/YY) or period for completion of your course
- Reason for extension of course
The processing time for the extension will take about 7 to 10 working days. You will be informed via email on the date to activate the extension for your concessionary eligibility period.
Expiry and Refund of the Ez-link card
Your card concession eligibility will expire once you completed your course of study in NUS. However, the card can be used for a further 4-month period, with adult fare payment, i.e concession passes cannot be purchased.
You may request for an immediate refund at any Ticket Office during the 4 months grace period. After the 6 months period, the card cannot be refunded immediately. Instead, a receipt will be issued and the refund can be collected 5 working days later at any Ticket Office.
You can return the concession card to any TransitLink Ticket Office so as to obtain refund of any remaining travel value in the card. The card will be retained by the Ticket Office.
Cardholder is required to produce his/her NRIC for the refund. Refund of the card by a proxy is allowed if the proxy presents his/her own original NRIC / Passport in addition to the above-mentioned items.
