Varsity Athletes Accommodation Scheme

We are pleased to announce that 100 places at Ridge View Residences (Tower Block, Single room Only) have been reserved for Varsity Athletes committing to Year Round Training (YRT) for every new academic year. The RVR Athletes Scheme aims to ensure that athletes on-campus accommodation needs are taken care of under the  Residence Admission Scheme (RAS) for special schemes, because of their commitment to YRT.

Although the RVR Athletes Scheme is primarily designed for Varsity Teams on YRT, we will also consider application from any athlete with great aspiration in any other Varsity Teams. National Athletes are also welcomed to apply through this scheme if they think it will help them balance their academic and national commitments better. Consideration for all applications will be based on intensity of Varsity or National Team training as well as sporting performance.

Terms & Conditions

Varsity Athletes who wish to apply for the RVR Athletes Scheme must strictly adhere to the following terms and conditions:

*All recommended applicants MUST indicate Ridge View Residences (Tower Block), Single (Non-AC) as their 1^st Choice in the online OSA Senior Undergraduate Housing Application. Recommended applicants who fail to indicate RVR as their 1^st Choice during the OSA Senior Undergraduate Housing Application will NOT be eligible for any housing at all. It is vital that you only apply for the RVR Athletes Scheme when you are absolutely certain that you want RVR housing.

*Recommended applicants who failed to apply online without a valid reason after been notified, will not be allowed to reapply.

*All students on the RVR Athletes Scheme are NOT allowed to switch accommodation.

*All students on the RVR Athletes Scheme must continue to be a Varsity Athlete throughout their stay at RVR; failing which, their RVR housing will be withdrawn.

*All students on the RVR Athletes Scheme who check-out from RVR anytime before the end of the AY will not be able to reinstate their room should they subsequently decide to revert to RVR Athletes Scheme. They will also not be eligible for the scheme in the future.

* SRC will also notify all unsuccessful RVR Athletes Scheme applicants, who may then apply for housing through the OSA Senior Undergraduate Housing Application to participate in other categories under Residences Admission Scheme.

Application

SRC coordinate only 1 application exercise per year, which usually commence in late January or early February.  The application is for athletes staying at RVR from Semester 1 onwards in the new academic year. For athletes who wish to stay from Semester 2 onwards, they do not apply through this scheme, instead, they have to apply through the OSA Senior Undergraduate Housing Application nearer to Semester 2 period.
