With plans for friendly competitions and an overseas training trip, coupled by the fact that the club is being trained by a coach that is held in very high regard within Singapore’s fencing community, this will be an especially exciting year for the NUS Fencing Team. Join us for this thoroughly wonderful experience and enjoy the rigorous exercise that fencing can bring to your mind and body.

Trials & Selection
The recreational fencing team welcomes anyone and everyone who wishes to fence. For the competitive team however, there will be a selection process within the academic year. Selection for the competitive team is determined by the individual’s ability, skill, commitment, experience as well as his / her progress in fencing.

Training Schedule
Tuesdays 6.30pm to 9.00pm.
Thursdays 6.30pm to 9.00pm.
Venue: MPSH 6
(The team goes for supper after every training session)

Training Camp Info
For anyone interested, fencing appreciation courses will be conducted on the following dates:

18 August 09 (Tuesday)
20 August 09 (Thursday)
25 August 09 (Tuesday)
27 August 09 (Thursday)

The courses will be conducted from 1830 to 2030 hr at MPSH6. You may come for all four days if you wish. No prior fencing experience is required. Experienced fencers are also welcome to take part in the activities. A one-time registration fee of $10 will be charged.
