We are a team of competitive biathletes who compete in various biathlons (and for some, triathlons) over the year, including intervarsity races in which we represent the school. As a group, hope to provide a platform for both experienced and inexperienced athletes to train and perform and also to enjoy the experience of the sport we love.
A biathlon, or aquathlon to be exact, is a sport that combines swimming and running, demanding mental strength and determination from every participating athlete. Distances can range from a sprint race (750m swim, 5km run) to a full Olympic distance race (1.5km swim, 10km run).
Continuing with tradition, teamNUS Aquathlon is more than just an IVP team representing NUS. We are a huge family which trains as a close-knitted entity and we believe that team spirit and having fun as a team is an integral part of training that gels us together as the formidable team we are and hope to stay as. We also believe in hard and scientific training to help the team and every individual to achieve our maximum.
We aim to help newbies become familiar with the sport of biathlon and subsequently even triathlon. We cater to those who have never raced competitively before this through fun and progressive training and we hope that there will be useful takeaways for each and every one of us, in terms of both athletic performance and beyond.
We do not have a coach and members are self-driven with the ambition to achieve. The team’s experienced athletes fix training schedules with consultation from our seniors and their present/former coaches and help and advice are readily available when needed.

Please contact the Captain, Vice-captain or Team Manager if you are interested to join our trainings. No selection or trials are required.
