Team Info/News
TeamNUS Shooting (Air-Pistol & Air-Rifle) was formed in 2001. Our Air Pistol men and women as well as the Air Rifle men and women teams comprises of 6 shooters in each category. A few of the major competitions we participate in include the NTU National Invitational Shoot, NUS Invitational Shoot and Singapore Open Shooting Championships. For the NUS Invitational Shoot, our Air-Pistol team has managed to retain the (School category) overall Challenge Shield for the 7th consecutive year while the Air-Rifle team has retained the overall Challenge Shield for Rifle (School category) for the 2nd consecutive year since 2008.
Our women’s teams also participated in the 14th Asean University Games Shooting Competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in December 2008. Zhao Hui Jing, together with counterparts from NTU, clinched a gold medal in the 10m Air-Pistol Women Team event. She also came in 1st in the individual event. For the 10m Air-Rifle Women event, Adrienne Ser and Joanna Fong won a gold medal in the Team category. Joanna also clinched an individual 3rd placing.
Even if you are new to shooting, you can still become a varsity team member or be under the training squad with the team itself. Join us in the pursuit for greater heights!
