IVP Track & Field 2005/06
After 3 days of sun and rain, sweat and pain, the 2006 Track and Field meet has finally concluded. NUS has won the men’s title, women’s title and the overall title by a whopping 386 points over 2nd place NTU with 251 points. ITE came in 3rd with 163 points.

The women’s title was firmly in our hands from day 1 as our track and field girls performed solidly in their events. The men’s title came down to day 3 as NUS and NTU were just separated by 1 point. The guys put up a good fight winning the 110m hurdles, 400m, long jump, 3000m steeple chase and 4x400m relay to clinch the men’s title.

Both the track team and road race team came very far in achieving this results. From the time where they had problems trying to get people to even come down for trainings to having to juggle with team-mates who got themselves injured through training and IHG. The road race team is truly commendable in their performance. The points garnered from the distance events were much much more as compared to last year and were what put us way ahead of NTU.
