International students are advised to make arrangements for accommodation before they depart for Singapore. You may refer to the Hostel Admission website for information on NUS Student Hostels and Private Accommodation.

If you are coming to NUS and thinking of where to stay, there are a few options that you can look into.


NUS Student Hostels (for full-time students)

There are approximately 6700 residential places 200 studio apartments (for married students) distributed in Kent Ridge Campus and 3400 residential places and 100 studio apartments (for married students) in University Town.

Student rooms are furnished with beds, mattresses, wardrobes, study tables, book shelves and fans/air-conditioning units* are available in each room. Internet access is also readily available.

Students may choose either a single room (single occupancy) or double room (double-occupancy) at the Kent Ridge Campus. Laundry rooms equipped with coin-operated washing machines and tumble dryers are located in each hostel.


Private Accommodation

For private accommodation, rentals are normally done with housing agents. The prices of the accommodations will be dependent on the location, condition and whether if it is furnished. However an estimation of the rentals will be as follow:

If you are interested in private accommodations, you will have to contact the housing agents directly for viewing and negotiation of the rental terms. University will not be liable for any lease dispute or disagreement for private accommodation.
