Cancellation of Student's Pass


International students are required to surrender their Student's Pass to Immigration and Checkpoints Authority for cancellation within seven days from the date of cessation ** or termination of their studies (withdrawal or termination from the programme).

** Graduating Students will be informed in an official letter from the Registrar regarding their conferment date. The official letter is usually mailed out to the last known address within 2 weeks from the conferment date.

**However, graduate research degrees may also be awarded as and when the students complete all necessary requirements pertaining to the degrees.

ICA will issue you with a Social Visit Pass in your passport to allow you to exit the country. If you fail to do so, you will be deemed to be residing unlawfully in Singapore and will be liable for a fine, failing which you will be charged in court.

Students may cancel their Student's Pass at Student Pass unit at ICA with the following documents:

  • A duly completed cancellation form;
  • Student's valid travel document;
  • The Student's Pass card;
  • Student's Visit Pass and Disembarkation/Embarkation card, and
  • A duly completed Disembarkation/Embarkation card (IMM Form 27A) where applicable will be provided at ICA counters
