There are mainly two categories of Non-Graduating students:
EXCHANGE STUDENTS (NGE)
Students on the Student Exchange Programme (SEP) from a Partner University with whom the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been established.
NON-EXCHANGE STUDENTS (NGNE)
Fee-paying students who are pursuing faculty modules. This includes students pursuing the Intensive Mandarin Language Programme (IMLP) at the Centre for Language Studies (CLS).
NUS accommodation is available to International Undergraduate Non-graduating Exchange (NGE) students only. Due to overwhelming demand, we are currently unable to provide an NUS accommodation to Non-Exchange students (NGNE) as well as Non-graduating Graduates. These categories of students are advised to arrange for their own accommodation prior to their arrival to NUS. Please click here to view the private accommodation options.
The following are salient points for International Non-graduating Undergraduate Exchange students eligible for NUS accommodation:-
| 1. |
Students must read and adhere to the Code of Student Conduct, University’s Administrative Policies, and Housing Agreement (a copy is given to all Residents at check-in) during their stay in a NUS student accommodation.
|
| 2. |
Students who are no longer full-time status (e.g. on Leave of Absence, withdrew and graduated) are not eligible to stay in NUS student accommodation and will be given 7 days notice to vacate their rooms.
|
| 3. |
Students coming to NUS on a full-year exchange will be offered accommodation for the entire period.
|
| 4. |
Accommodation is subject to availability and students may not be offered their room preference.
|
| 5. |
Allocation of housing will be effected only after students have been accepted to three modules. It is therefore important that students resubmit their application for modules quickly, should they be unsuccessful in the initial round of selection.
