Raffles Hall
A Hall stepped in tradition and history inherited from the Oxford and Cambridge halls of residence, Raffles Hall is nestled in a valley on Kent Ridge Crescent within easy access of NUS Administration, Centre for the Arts, the University Cultural Centre, the Sports and Recreation Centre, various faculties and the main public bus-stops.

Raffles Hall consists of five blocks, each complete with a fully functional kitchenette. Hot water showers are located on each floor and the rooms are newly renovated with built-in cupboards and study areas. Each room has individual telephone and networking points providing free and easy access to internet.

Raffles Hall provides its residents with three meals a day – breakfast, diner and the ever popular “Raffles tea-time” – for Rafflesians, this is a time to unwind and relax.

Other facilities include a library cum study room, a newly renovated modern gymnasium, a dance studio, a snooker lounge, a video/reading room, a well-equipped computer room and for the sporty – a badminton and basketball court.

There is never a dull moment in Raffles Hall. The Hall offers a host of opportunities to those interested in developing their potential, ranging from various sports to cultural activities such as annual Hall musical and the Hall Cultural Fest. The Hall also boasts of its very own successful cultural groups such as the Hall Band, the Hall Choir, and the Chamber Music Ensemble.

Yet, when all is said and done, Raffles is more than a mere Hall of Residence. With a Master and Resident Fellows who truly care, and residents who are always willing to lend a helping hand, Raffles Hall with its spirit of togetherness, offers a home away from home to truly make your university experience complete.
