The following are NUS Accommodation exercises for
full-time
NUS Graduate
students in the year 2010. Students must read and understand the
Accommodation Policy before submitting an
application.
GSA, NUS yo:HA@190 Boon Lay and NUS yo:HA@Commonwealth Drive are
interim housing offered for one semester
only. For subsequent period of stay, students will have to resubmit their application and supporting documents to be considered (housing is not guaranteed).
Processing of your application will be based on information
submitted during your online application.

2. Payment of Accommodation Fees
a- Students will be issued an invoice upon check in and are
expected to make payment for
any outstanding accommodation fee within 7 calendar days from
check-in.
b- For students making payment via stipend, please
note that there will be some changes.

- Offer of interim accommodation for one semester only. For
subsequent period of
stay, students will have to resubmit their application
with the relevant supporting
documents where applicable.
- Vacation is optional and you will need to apply for it.
- For married students where both are full-time current/new
NUS Graduate
students, only one application from one spouse will be
accepted via the respective
exercise.
- For married students where one spouse is a full-time new
Graduate student and
the other is a current NUS graduate student, only one
application by the spouse
who is a New Graduate may be submitted via the New
Graduate Student Exercise.
- Please note that multiple applications may delay the
processing of your NUS housing
application. Priority selection will be according to the
Accommodation Policy .
- Late applications or appellants will be advised at a later
date on the timeline in which to
submit their applications or appeals.
- Late applicants will be processed after those who had
applied within the stipulated exercise
dates. Their chances of being allocated an NUS
accommodation is subject to vacancies due
to rejections and non-acceptance of offers.
- Please prepare your online mode of payments.

Important Notes:
1. Attachments should be in the following format only and
total file size should
not exceed 15 MB:
pdf, doc, docx, jpg or txt.
2. Once payment of the application fee has been made, no
further amendments
can be done. Please finalised your application prior
to payment.
3. DO NOT REPEAT PAYMENT
If you encounter error message in UHMS after your first
online payment you
may send us your transaction reference via
online email to check if your first
payment has been received. Please do not proceed with
multiple payments until
our Officers revert to you.
4. Once the results are ready for viewing , an email will be
sent to all UHMS
applicants to inform them to perform a self-check of the
NUS accommodation
application outcome.

- Due to limited
number of places available at NUS yo:HA hostels, students
will be selected
randomly should the number of
applications exceed the vacancy available.

the spouse
who is a New Graduate may be submitted via the
New Graduate Student Exercise.
- Please

Problems in
logging-in UHMS system
Please complete the online email at
if your Application No and password is correct but still
unable to login to UHMS or if you do not have the necessary
information due to submission of manual NUS application.
Our officers will reply you within 3 working days.

Note:
- Only current residents of GSA @ PGPR, NUS yo:HA@Commonwealth
and
NUS yo:HA@190 Boon Lay hostel may apply for vacation stay under this exercise.
You may be allocated a different room during room consolidation. Please refer to the
announcements made by the respective accommodation for room consolidation:-
PGPR
- Non-residents may approach the respective management office
directly after the
exercise's closing date to enquire on vacation stay.
- For yo:HA hostels, late application fee of $32.10
will apply for applications submitted
after the closing date before the start of vacation. There will be
no refund of vacation
fee after payment is received.
- For late application and non-residents applying to PGPR please approach
the respective management office after
20
April 2011
to enquire on vacation stay.
Late application fee of $21.40 will apply. Cancellation
charge of $53.50 will be
imposed for any cancellation or shortening of stay after
27
April 2011.
- Students who are not offered accommodation next academic
year must check-out
by
30 June 2011 (GSA @ PGPR)
- The lease for yoHA hostel is expiring in mid 2011, residents will
be required to check
out by the stipulated date:
- yoHA Boon Lay Hostel: By 20 June 2011
- yoHA Commonwealth Hostel: By
13 June 2011
- If you require accommodation due to commencement, please approach
your
respective management office to enquire.
- Full vacation fee plus penalty charges will apply if
personal items are not cleared after
check-out.
- For storage facilities, please contact
private storage companies.
- NUS reserves the right to dispose any items left behind after
check-out.
