Registration for Change of Room or Residence for AY 2008/2009 will be
open from 1 to 15 September 2008.
Eligibility
This room change exercise is only meant for residents who are staying in
any of the following residences:
Kuok Foundation House (KFH)
Prince George’s Park Residences (PGPR)
Ridge View’s Residences (RVR)
Hall residents please approach your hall office
directly for room change query.
How does it work?
All
rooms have been allocated to students. Hence, there is no empty room to
facilitate the change of rooms. As such, a change is only possible if there
is a match amongst the same gender hostelites who applied for a change
of accommodation.
(E.g. You are in a Type A room and you wish to change to a Type C room
while the other student is in a Type C room but wish to change to a Type
A room. Such a change is only possible if both students are of the same
gender).
How to Apply
You may
download the excel form
here on 1 September 2008 and email it to
osav8@nus.edu.sg with the subject
heading as "Room change - Request".
If you are doing a mutual swap, you will need to cc the other party
in the email as well. Please note that mutual swap is only applicable
for students swapping within the 3 residences (KFH, PGPR, RVR). No
modification is allowed once the application has been submitted.
An acknowledgement email will be sent to you within 3 working days
once your application has been received. Please keep a copy of that
email as a proof of your submission.
We will notify you via email on your room change request status by 28
September 2008. Please note that if you are successful in your room
change request, you will need to settle all outstanding payment before you check-out. If you have been approved to change
to another residence, you are required to pay the fees stated below upon
your check-in :
- Electricity Charges - $26.75
- Registration Fee
- $5.35
