Non-graduating Students

Accommodation Policy

Due to overwhelming response for accommodation from students pursuing full-time degree courses, NUS Non-graduating (NG) students are not always guaranteed a room on campus. Residential Services can assist you in finding an off-campus accomodation in the event that you are not successfully allocated an on-campus accommodation.

There are mainly two categories of non-graduating students:

EXCHANGE STUDENTS
Students on the Student Exchange Programme (SEP) from a Partner University with whom the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been established.

NON-EXCHANGE STUDENTS
Fee-paying students who are pursuing faculty modules. This includes students pursuing the Intensive Mandarin Language Programme (IMLP) at the Centre for Language Studies (CLS).

Exchange/Non-exchange Students may choose to apply for accommodation in any of the Halls of Residence or Prince George’s Park Residences.  Rooms are allocated on the basis of availability.

Due to the high demand of place in our student accommodation, priority will be given to undergraduate students, followed by the exchange students, then the non-exchange students.

Mandarin Language Students are not eligible to apply for student accommodation and are advised to arrange for their own accommodation before the start of their course of study.
