Overview

 

Until 1999, the Office of Quality Management (OQM) was known as the Planning Service Unit. OQM came into being to address the renewed national focus on service quality. OQM's primary reposibility is to drive service, operational and organisational excellence in the university's administrative arena. We do this through our extensive programmes and events.

We help offices navigate the challenges of implementing quality systems so that they can create change-friendly environments, and ultimately reach their potential for excellence.

Our activities revolve around four values: Leadership, Innovation, Value and Excellence. We train teams and individuals to be more effective. We recognise outstanding individuals, teams and offices who can serve as role-models of excellence.
