The Learning Institutions Quality Conference is an officially-recognised platform for the national Team Excellence Award. It is hosted by the National University of Singapore, and organized by the Office of Quality Management, celebrating administrative best practices in the education industry, leveraging the power of teams to drive business excellence, share insights on applying team excellence in the institution and build strong networks of change and innovation across institutions.
Two teams from OHS took part in the LIQC 2013 competition and emerged as winners. Team “Integrated Movers” comprising of Amelia, Sze Hoon and Mariyam, undertook the project of relocating faculty members to Kent Vale 2, the latest edition to the OHS umbrella, and to mitigate the rising costs of housing allowances. The team’s strategy of addressing the housing needs of its stake holders, delivering a seamless move-in experience, fair allocation of residential units and optimizing its occupancy, won them The Silver Award.
Team “To Market To Market” with team members Raj, Deborah and Kim Yen, won The Gold Award for their Integrated Marketing Communications plan. Through a combination of clever solutions, the team was able to introduce a more targeted and coherent strategy to reach out to its customers and stakeholders while seeing cost savings and a significant increase in website traffic and awareness amongst current and future residents. Further to this, Team “To Market To Market” also managed to clinch the Overall Best Presentation Award for LIQC 2013.
