Completed in 1996, this housing estate consists of six residential blocks (with 516 units), a community hall, a minimart, children's playground, two squash courts, a basketball court, a barbecue area, a childcare center and free surface parking.

The estate is located opposite the campus, at the junction of Clementi Road and the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE). The short commute to work is a perk for Kent Vale residents. The estate is linked to the University through a covered walkway and a sheltered overhead bridge across Clementi Road. There are also free internal shuttle bus services to the campus.

Various amenities such as the West Coast Community Centre, a wet market, shophouses, eateries, Clementi Woods, and the West Coast Parks are of close proximity to Kent Vale.
