Project ZerOwaste Introduction
Zer0waste aims to improve the overall recycling infrastructure of paper, plastic and cans in NUS. A recycling taskforce, which comprises inter-departmental representatives from Office of Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE), Office of Environmental Sustainability (OES), Office of Estate and Development (OED), Office of Student Affairs (OSA), School of Design and Environment Department of Architecture, and student representatives from NUSSU and SAVE, it is set up to overlook recycling matters for the university. This includes promoting recycling and unnecessary waste minimization culture in NUS through the improvement of recycling infrastructure and logistics (such as providence of standardized recycling bins throughout key locations on campus), inclusion of recycling elements in offices and major student events like NUSSU Rag and Flag Day and Matriculation Fair etc.
This taskforce is headed by Dr Peck Thian Guan, Director of OSHE. Members include:
