Banners2Bags is an initiative jointly managed by NUSSU SAVE’s Rebate2Earth Committee and NUS Office of Environmental Sustainability to provide a platform for used banners to be reused in NUS. Offices and student organizations use many banners for publicizing events and these constitute a significant source of wastage. Through Banners2Bags, used banners will be collected from NUS and passed on to the WEworkz Multi-Purpose Co-operative Ltd, where the banners will be transformed into useful and durable items such as pencil bases, bags, purses and other accessories. Not only does this reduce wastage, but provide underprivileged women in WEworkz with a source of employment. Proceeds from the project will be channeled directly to WEworkz.



As WeWorkz has now received excessive banners over what they required, this programme will be temporarily suspended till March 2012
