Pulau Ubin (Sensory Trail)

As part of the current effort to enhance nature conservation awareness, the NUS Campus Sustainability Committee will be organising a visit to Pulau Ubin on 22nd May 2004 (Saturday morning). For those of you who are new to Singapore - Pulau Ubin is an island (of 1019 hectares) off the northeastern coast of Singapore. if you wish to experience the flora & fauna surrounding the island come and join us at the coming and very unique Sensory Trail. The walk is easy-going and takes about 1½ hours to complete. This is an excellent introduction to the rustic and natural character of the island. You will be able to touch, see or smell fruit trees, spices and herbs for cooking, plants used in traditional medicine and native plants of the mangrove forest.
You are cordially invited to participate in the coming visit. Please register for the visit by providing your name, staff/student number, IC/Passport number, faculty/department, contact number and email to cgcadmin@nus.edu.sg. Please note - Registration is on a first - come - first - served basis. Limited to the first 100 persons only. (Only successful applicants will be notified via email by 19 May 2004)
