Kent Ridge Eco Projects Yr 09
Garbage Enzyme Project
Garbage enzyme is produced by mixing sugar or molasses with organic food waste and allowing it to ferment for three months. The end product can be used as a replacement for the commercial cleaning agent, thus reducing on the chemical usage of the residents and improving on their sustainable habits.
Switch off project
This project encouraged the residents to switch off the unnecessary electrical appliances. Reminders and bigger posters were put at strategic locations which highlighted the wastage of electricity and the consequences of unsustainable living. Green ambassadors were recruited in the hall who helped in spreading the message of energy conservation through personal talks.
