Within the NUS community, two in-house environmental awards have been developed to foster greater efforts in creating a green campus. They are the annual InterHall Environmental Awards competition and the Eco-office Programme. These awards seek to merit the Halls, offices or individuals that have achieved good environmental management.

The staff and students clearly play a big part in environmental sustainability. It is important that such green interest is sustained and their contribution to be duly recognised. Without doubt, the success of these awards would not have been possible without the active support of the NUS population.
