The compound effect of making changes to our everyday habits is momentous. By implementing the Eco-office Programme, the NUS staff will be encouraged to make sound ‘green’ decisions and become more eco-conscious. This programme calls for applications from individual staff as well as offices. The process of application is fuss-free and you or your office will be given a Bronze, Silver and Gold Certification.

As such to cultivate environmental-friendly habits at the workplace, the NUS Green Office Program was initiated in 2008 by the Campus Sustainability Committee. Office audits were conducted and the findings were conclusive that improvements in office practices can be effected to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions of NUS.

In 2011, the program has been modified to encompass two tiers of assessment:

(I) Individual: Green Ambassador Certification
(II) Group: Green Office Certification
