Any contamination (wrong recycling) will waste the efforts of those before you. So read the labels on top of the bins before you recycle!

Most offices have been issued a paper recycling box (located either at the printers or mail room). Use it!

Reduce paper consumption!
Printers in all libraries and major computer clusters are set to default double-sided printing.
All undergraduates and graduates encouraged to submit all assignments/reports/theses on double-sided print or via online submissions.

The above statistics are based on a survey in Semester 1 in AY09/10, where 770 students and 299 staff participated.
To the survey question “I am practising environmentally friendly habits”, 94.59% of the staff respondents and 93.21% of the students respondents “agree” or “strongly agree”.
