Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Program 2011

Bayer and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), in co-operation with the National Youth Achievement Award Council (NYAAC) and the National Environment Agency (NEA), are now inviting applicants to represent Singapore in the Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Programme.

Now on its 11th year in Singapore, the Bayer Young Environmental Envoy is a global environment education programme for the youth with the aim of developing young environmental leaders and boosting the level of environmental awareness among the youth.

Selected candidates will participate in a youth environmental leadership camp on 17 – 19 June 2011 after which they will proceed to implement their individual project ideas for a greener and more beautiful Singapore.

The projects will be evaluated and the best entries awarded a week-long all expense-paid study trip to Germany on 15 – 22 October 2011 as Bayer Young Environmental Envoys. The four Bayer Young Environmental Envoys will join youth delegates from across four continents in a unique opportunity to observe best environmental practices and network with a diverse group of like-minded youth.

If you have a passion for green issues, with a good idea for an environmental project, we would like to invite you to apply for the program. Outline your proposal for a project that addresses an environment-related topic / problem in your community / school using the application form.

SIWW Ambassadors: Engaging our Global Leaders


PUB would like to invite you to apply for the role of ambassador for the upcoming Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2011, 4 July to 8 July.

SIWW is a global platform for water solutions, bringing together ministerial delegations, business leaders and industry practitioners from around the world. We are currently looking for talents to manage foreign delegates and international visitors by serving as our SIWW Ambassadors. As ambassadors, you can look forward to learning from industry experts and gaining invaluable first-hand experiences.

Job Description
 

Assist with scheduling and updating of delegates with key and relevant information about SIWW and their itinerary, prior to and during event day.
Attend compulsory training and briefing sessions
Represent PUB to host the delegate during their stay in Singapore.
Works with PUB officers to ensure needs of delegates are well taken care of.
Act as main resource point in handling of delegate’s enquiries in a prompt fashion.
Work on ad-hoc duties when assigned.

Desired attributes
  Strong interpersonal and Intercultural sensitivity. Foreign language capability a bonus.
Adept in handling administrative duties
Resourceful, handles unexpected events in calm manner
Displays strong sense of initiative in accomplishment of tasks
Passionate about being a brand ambassador for Singapore.
