sustainABLE water day 203

International World Water Day is an initiative that grew out of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) and held annually on 22 March as means of focusing attention on the importance of water and advocating for the sustainable management of water resources.

sustainABLE Water Day 2013 is held in conjunction with Singapore World Water Day. Held for the first time, NUS is rallying its approximately 11,000 students residing on campus to pledge to limit their daily shower times to 5 minutes, in support of this year’s theme of “Every Drop Counts!”, which brings across the message of how every drop of water is precious.

Come join us at any of our 3 roadshows at PGPR/UTown Residences/Kent Ridge Hall on 4 March to find out more about our exciting line-up of activities!
