The Climate Action Day (CAD) 2011 is themed “Zer0 is Her0: Say NO to Waste”. CAD 2011 serves as a rallying call to the NUS community that we should not take consumption, waste generation and disposal for granted as these come at a cost to the environment. The event seeks to reverse the “use-and-throw” culture in our consumerist society, where the ease of disposing rubbish causes all of us to take waste disposal for granted. To achieve this paradigm shift, the majority of general waste bins will be removed on 6th Sept in NUS Kent Ridge Campus, to encourage and empower the campus community to explore alternative, eco-friendly methods to handle their everyday waste, such as practising the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle), other than just throwing it away. ‘Like’ us and interact with us on our Facebook Page! We also invite you to view our very own video productions:
