The first NUS Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory was completed for AY 07/08 and it covered carbon emissions due to NUS operations at both Kent Ridge and Bukit Timah campuses. Effectively, we accounted for carbon emissions due to Electricity Consumption, Staff Air Travel, Vehicle Fleet (Departmental Fleet, Shuttle Bus Fleet) & Commuter Travel (Season Parking, Public Transport).

Focusing solely on carbon dioxide emission, NUS GHG Inventory can be broken down into the following scopes as based on guidelines from the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Initiative:
