Centre of Translational Medicine

Centre for Translational Medicine is the second part of the redevelopment of Yong Loo Lin – School of Medicine (YLLSoM) containing both laboratory and teaching spaces. It is part of an ambitious, national program which seeks to upgrade Singapore’s capabilities as both centre of advanced education and a centre of bio-medical research and translational medicine.

The new building will occupy a site located at the east end of the Kent Ridge Campus of NUS, directly south of MD11. It has a 41,000 m2 GFA to house medical education facilities capable of meeting the needs of both the School of Medicine and School of Nursing with a Simulated Hospital consists of Seminar Rooms, Class rooms, two 300-seat capacity Lecture Theatre, Simulation Centre including mock Wards and Procedures Rooms. It also consists of Themed labs in the Research Tower with a BSL3 facility to cater for translation medicine research work. In addition, the medical library will also be relocated to this new building.
