Mochtar Riady Building
The new Mochtar Riady
Building, with its gracefully branching
columns (set within a matrix of full
glass cladding 360 degree around the
whole facade of the building), creates
an impressive vista when one drives
into NUS from the Heng Mui Keng Terrace.
You will also find a bridge linking
the new building to the adjacent Shaw
Foundation Alumni House.
A symbolic soft launch of the Mochtar Raidy Building, led by Prof Bernard Yeung - Dean of NUS Business School, was held on 16 November 2009 to commemorate the school’s 45th Anniversary. A ribbon cutting ceremony also took place on the 2nd floor linkway.
The new Business School has a 16,800 m2 GFA to house all the administrative offices for the undergraduate and graduate programs, departmental offices, faculty offices, the Dean’s Office and an Executive Centre with its Office of Executive Education, executive-style classrooms, breakout rooms and dining spaces. In addition, there will be larger seminar rooms for the undergraduate and MBA programs to cater for anticipated future demand beyond the capacity of the present facilities.
