    ED'S NOTE

In the last issue, we touched on the new initiatives, such as directional signages, new food outlets at Techno Edge and City Speed Car Sharing, implemented by us to benefit the NUS community. This issue will make you go "WOW!", instead. This issue, we are featuring an exclusive interview with Vice President (Campus Infrastructure), Professor Yong Kwet Yew. We have also revamped our newsletter, giving it a new lease of life. The eye-catching design will definitely make you take a second look. My editorial team - Yee Chiang, Meiling and Anita - has been working very hard to bring you exciting articles about happenings within the NUS community.

In conjunction with the NUS Centennial Celebrations, we have a special article on the new University Hall at Lower Kent Ridge Road, featuring its unique infrastructure. We'll also be uncovering all the delicious details about the new Spinelli Outlet at the University Hall.

Read more about how our Security Officers participated in the recent Freshmen Matriculation Exercise on 25 - 28 July 2005 as well as the Public Private Partnership workshop organized by OED last month at Saffron Hall.

Our congratulations go out to two of our colleagues who received awards recently: Mr P Samynathan, who received a commendation award from the Commissioner of Police and Mr Sng Jin Soon, who was a recipient of the National Day Awards 2005. They have indeed done us proud with their outstanding achievements.

Don't know where to start? No worries... Just click on the articles below. Of course, we welcome any comments or feedback on our new look.
