    ED'S NOTE

We wish you a Happy and Exciting 2006.

First and foremost, we like to thank you for your avid support for our e-newsletter in the year 2005. We believe that most of you have enjoyed our exciting articles and contests. Our resolution for 2006 is to publish more exciting and informative articles.

In this issue, we interviewed our Senior Manager (Campus Master Plan), Mr Sng Jin Soon. The Campus Master Plan (CMP) unit is responsible for planning activities relating to both the short and long term development of the NUS Campus. You may have heard about the Bukit Timah Campus (BTC) and NUS Residential Colleges in the news and CMP is currently involved in these upcoming projects.

Every year, OED's Staff Welfare and Recreation Committee (SWRC) will organise a mega event to celebrate the closure of the year. This year, we had a family day at East Coast Parkway with the theme "Balik Kampong". Colleagues, families and friends of OED were invited to join in the fun. It was a memorable day!

Hmm... of course we did not forget our regular contest. This year, we will be focusing on landscapes on the campus. So keep a look-out for the greenery on the campus and stand to win great prizes from the "I guess, I guess, I guess guess guess!" contest.

We hope that you will continue to support our e-newsletter and do not hesitate to send any feedback to us at onsite@nus.edu.sg

The eager crowd started streaming in from 8.30am and some of them were well prepared with their own beach mats and picnic baskets. They were welcomed by exciting door gifts, popcorns, ice-cream and cotton candy. The kids soon started to chase after the balloon sculptor and face painter while some were enjoying themselves at the bubble corner...
