Zeslene Mao Huijing“During the months before the beginning of university, I interned at the Straits Times as a reporter at the Newsdesk. During the stint, I met many interesting people such as Cherie Blair and Jackie Chan, and had the opportunity to conduct interviews with them. Apart from that, many days were also spent knocking on the doors of others to ask about their opinion on various events that were happening in Singapore. Two examples of such events was when I interviewed Singapore Citizens about their opinions on the Ionescu case, as well as the building of rental flats in Tampines and Pasir Ris.
