SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS

The National University of Singapore (NUS) offers a variety of undergraduate scholarships and awards in recognition of outstanding academic achievements, leadership qualities and special talents. 

NUS also offers the NUS Awards for Study Abroad (NASA) to support students in various forms of global exposure opportunities. These opportunities include:

  • student exchange programmes (SEP),
  • summer programmes and field studies programmes of sufficient duration, and
  • overseas joint/double/concurrent/sequential degree programmes.

Any course leading to a first degree

  • Tuition fees
  • Annual living allowance of S$6,000.00
  • Tuition fees
  • Annual living allowance of S$3,600.00
Faculty Scholarships and Awards

Any course leading to a first degree

  • Singapore citizens
  • Strong leadership qualities and potential
  • Good co-curricular activities record
  • Offered GCE ‘A’ levels, Diploma from a polytechnic in Singapore or equivalent qualifications
  • Tuition fees
  • Annual living allowance of S$3,600.00
  • Tuition fees
Chemical Engineering

  • Singapore citizens and permanent residents
  • GCE ‘A’ levels, Diploma from a polytechnic in Singapore or 1st year undergraduates pursuing Chemical Engineering at the NUS
  • The Scholarship Award is valued at S$7000.00 each, excluding tuition fees
  • Total annual funding approximates S$14,000.00 per student
All full-time undergraduate courses pursued at the NUS, NTU or SMU
  • Singapore citizens and permanent residents
  • Good co-curricular activities record
  • Diploma from a polytechnic in Singapore (preferably with a Certificate of Merit)
  • Once-off cash award of S$3,500.00
All Engineering courses pursued at the NUS or NTU

  • Singapore citizens and permanent residents
  • Good co-curricular activities record
  • Diploma from a polytechnic in Singapore (preferably with a Certificate of Merit)
  • Tuition fees
  • Annual living allowance of S$3,500.00
Full time first-degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Computing, Mass Communications or Arts(specializing in Economics or Statistics) at
  • National University of Singapore (NUS)
  • Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
  • Singapore Management University(SMU)
  • Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents
  • GCE’A’ Level or equivalent Students with outstanding academic results
  • Good co-curricular activities record
  • Good Leadership qualities and potential
  • Interest in Co-operative’s Movement work
  • Tuition fees directly payable by students(after tuition grant)
  • Hostel Fee(up to $3500 annually)
  • Maintenance allowance of $3,500 annually


  • *Upon graduation, scholars are required to serve a period of up to 4 years within the co-operative sector.
