Application
for Tuition Grant
1) Singapore Citizens
Students who are Singapore Citizens need to make a one-
time joint application with their parent / guardian for the
Tuition Grant in the year of admission. More application
details will be made available in the Registration Guide under
“Fee Related Matters”
found at the registration website:
from July 2014 onwards.
2) Singapore Permanent Residents and
International Students
Singapore Permanent Residents and International Students
must submit the online Tuition Grant Option Form to indicate
their intent to apply for the grant. The form will be made
available via the registration website. Thereafter, students
who wish to apply for the Tuition Grant must submit their
application via MOE’s website at
during the stipulated period
as stated in the Registration Guide which can be found at

July 2014 onwards.
Applicants are required to sign an agreement with the
Singapore Government and will be bonded to work in
a Singapore-registered company for three years upon
graduation. Two sureties are required to execute the
agreement. Sureties can be of any nationality, must be above
21 and below 65 years of age and must not be bankrupt.
The following information on the sureties are to be provided
in the online application: name, FIN / UIN (if applicable),
passport number, date of birth, e-mail address, address in
Singapore (if any), and address in home country.
3) International Students Holding Singapore PSC
Bursaries and Scholarships
International students holding Singapore PSC Bursaries and
Scholarships are not required to apply for the Tuition Grant
as they have already executed agreements with the PSC. PSC
will pay the grant directly to the University.
4) International Students Holding Foreign
Government Scholarships
International students holding foreign government
scholarships are not eligible to apply for the Tuition Grant.
They must inform the NUS Office of Financial Aid in writing
at
by Week 2 of the semester of
admission with full details of the scholarship.
5) Students Admitted to Medicine and Dentistry
Students admitted to the faculties of Medicine and Dentistry
will have to apply for the Tuition Grant through the Ministry
of Health.
