Instructions for completing Online Application Form Type II

Instructions on this page only apply to the following:

  • School Candidates, who have taken the Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'A' Level examination in 2016, and have been issued an Admission Personal Identification Number (PIN) by Office of Admissions in February 2017
  • Full-time National Servicemen (NSF) who have reserved places in NUS.

The application form will be best used on Internet Explorer 7.0 or above. Kindly logout from the acknowledge page after you have submitted your application online, and close all Internet Explorer applications after logging out.

Please note that the application form is hosted on a secure site. For security reasons, you will be log out if there is no activity on the site for 30 minutes.

You can save your incomplete application form, and submit it later (by 19 March 2017) by retrieving with your NRIC/FIN and PIN.

If you wish to provide details in the “Outstanding Achievements” section, please compose your text for the “Personal Statement” using a text editor and then copy it over to the application form.

Step 1:
Login with your NRIC / FIN number and the issued Admission PIN.

If you have not received, or have misplaced your Admission PIN, please bring along your NRIC, student pass or passport to seek a replacement of your PIN from the Office of Admissions. You may also send a representative, with a letter of authorisation and your NRIC, student pass or passport to collect a new PIN on your behalf. The letter of authorisation should bear your signature, NRIC / FIN number or passport number and the representative's NRIC / FIN number or passport number.

Step 2:
After login, your personal particulars and academic results will be pre-loaded into the application form. Please verify these information to ensure that it is correct as your admission outcome will be adversely affected by inaccurate information.

Indicate changes or discrepancies, if any, at Section 7 of the Type I application form and submit the relevant supporting documents to the Office of Admissions for verification.

If you have been exempted from the Mother Tongue Language (MTL) and have been issued a letter of exemption by MOE, please choose “Yes” at the ‘A’ Level results option and submit the exemption letter to the Office of Admissions.

The supporting documents must reach the Office of Admissions by the application closing date of 19 March 2017. Otherwise, it will be assumed that there are no changes or discrepancies.

Please note that only relevant Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' Level or its equivalent results, i.e. those which are required to meet course and/or subject prerequisites, will be displayed at Section 3 of the application form. For example, a minimum 'O' Level Additional Mathematics grade of C6 is required for Business Administration–related courses at NUS if you have not taken and/or passed the H1 or H2 Mathematics at the Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level examination.

Step 3:
You may/are required to complete the following fields on the application form:

Click the “Continue” button after you have completed all sections of the application form. You must check that all information is completed correctly before submitting the application.

Step 5:
Click the “Submit” button to file your formal admission application online. You can only submit an application for admission once in each academic year. Downloaded application forms will not be accepted. An 8-digit application number (starting with “17”) will be assigned to you if you had successfully submitted your application.

A copy of the submitted online application will also be made available on the acknowledgement page. An acknowledgement email will also be sent to the primary email address you have indicated/updated in your application.

You should save and/or print a copy of the acknowledgement page and email for your own reference. NO confirmation letter will be given.

If you do not get any instant acknowledgement page or email after submitting your online application, your submission may be unsuccessful. You should contact the Office of Admissions to check if you have successfully submitted an online application to us.

Once you have successfully submitted an online application to us, your application status will be reflected as ‘Application Received’ when you login to our Online Application Status Facility (OASF) to check the status of your application.

Step 6:
The acknowledgement page and email will indicate the list of supporting documents you are required to submit if you had indicated changes/discrepancies at Section 7 of the online application form.

To complete your admission application, you must submit the required supporting documents with the Application Checklist as the cover page electronically at via the "Online Submission of Documents" facility found in the Online Application Status Facility (OASF).

Please DO NOT submit documents that are not listed on the application acknowledgement page. Submitting unnecessary documents will slow down the admission process for your application.

DO NOT submit original copies as all documents will not be returned.

The submission of supporting documents and application fee payment must be made by 19 March 2017. Otherwise your application will be deemed incomplete and withdrawn from consideration.
