an in-depth analysis of some essential issues during
the Deng Xiaoping reform as well as during the transition
towards the post-Deng era. This volume discusses fundamental
problems in three main areas: economic reform, political
transition and foreign relations. This volume features
the perspective of an important new generation of younger
China scholars, who were themselves grew up in China,
but earned their PhDs overseas.
