Melting Boundaries: Institutional Transformation in the Wider Europe

Kiichiro Yagi and Satoshi Mizobata (Editors)

The European Union's eastward expansion created new challenges arising from the recent historical experiences of Eastern Europe and differences between the institutional framework there and in Western Europe. This collaborative research effort by distinguished scholars based in Eastern Europe and in Japan examines EU integration from an institutional and evolutionary perspective, looking at the convergence and divergence of institutional configurations within an enlarged Europe.
