The lab is interested in understanding and managing drug-induced liver diseases, comprising of acute liver injury, chronic inflammation and fibrosis, as well hepatocellular carcinoma. Using both in vitro and in vivo models, the we consider the molecular mechanisms of how drug entities result in the perturbation of liver function, and how such events can be prevented or overcome. Specific ongoing projects include exploring the role of FGFR in liver fibrosis, and the use of nanoformulation to reduce toxicities.
