My research focus is on perception of emotions in communication. Using behavioral measures, electrophysiological and neuroimaging techniques (e.g., EEG, fMRI), I investigate the conditions under which listeners are sensitive to emotional signals sent by interaction partners and how these signals affect verbal processing and memory. In this context I also study interindividual differences and their biological and cultural causation. |
