Events which foster intellectual growth will be organized by the Peer Mentorship Committee in the form of workshops and/or discussion groups with existing students, alumni or academic staff. An example is the Buddy System - a system by which new scholars are paired up with senior (existing) scholars, so that they could network with one another and also engage in academic or research discussions. NGS Scholars’ Alliance was established in December 2005 to serve as a platform for exchange and interaction amongst all NGS scholars. In order to develop and nurture world-class scholars at NGS, there is a need to provide opportunities for the interaction and exchange of ideas amongst students.
