NGS Scholars’ Alliance (NGSSA) was established in December 2005 to serve as a platform for exchange and interaction amongst all NGS scholars.  In order to develop and nurture world-class scholars at NGS, there is a need to provide opportunities for the interaction and exchange of ideas amongst students. This student body will also facilitate the personal development and leadership training of scholars.

NGS Scholars are a unique and niche group.  So NGSSA is also the key to developing, creating and fostering NGS community and identity.  

There are 3 main committees namely:

Social Welfare Committee (SWC)

Social activities will be organized to improve interaction amongst NGS scholars. Events range from organizing social outings  and gathering such as Year-End Get-Together or Chinese New Year Lunch.

Communications (COM)

Manage the Scholars' Alliance blog and Face Book account;  Prepare NGSSA Newsletter, once a semester in September and February.

Peer Mentorship (PM)

Primarily, this committee helps to pair new scholars with senior scholars so they have an avenue to a network of friends within the NGS family.
